וַיְהִי֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶחָ֜ד מִן־הָרָמָתַ֛יִם צוֹפִ֖ים מֵהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם וּשְׁמ֡וֹ אֶ֠לְקָנָה בֶּן־יְרֹחָ֧ם בֶּן־אֱלִיה֛וּא בֶּן־תֹּ֥חוּ בֶן־צ֖וּף אֶפְרָתִֽי׃
Ada seorang laki-laki dari Ramataim-Zofim, dari daerah pegunungan Efraim. Namanya Elkana bin Yeroham bin Elihu bin Tohu bin Zuf, seorang penduduk daerah Efraim.

They rose early in the morning and prostrated themselves before Adonoy; then they returned and came to their home, to Romoh. Elkonoh knew Chana his wife, and Adonoy remembered her.

Elkonoh went to Romoh to his home; and the youth served Adonoy in the presence of Eili the kohein.
I Samuel
He would return to Romoh, for his home was there, and there he would judge Yisroel. He built an altar to Adonoy there.
